DevOps Engineer

  • Initial 12month contract + 12 month extension with a high profile client in the Perth CBD

A high profile WA client based close to the Perth CBD.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer possessing strong technical experience with Azure DevOps AND Azure Synapse for an initial 12 month contract that may extend.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Utilize Azure Synapse for data integration and analytics in the development and deployment workflows.
  • Monitor system performance, ensure reliability, and troubleshoot issues using tools like Neo4J for graph database management.
  • Collaborate with software developers, cloud engineers, and other team members to manage code releases and infrastructure changes.
  • Implement and maintain tools for configuration management, containerization, and orchestration, leveraging technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Automate and optimize processes to improve efficiency in software development and delivery
  • Contribute to the improvement of software development and delivery processes, integrating Python for scripting and automation

Key Experience:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in large, enterprise scale environments
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Azure Synapse
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Strong scripting skills in Python for automation tasks
  • Knowledge of graph databases, such as Neo4J, for effective data management.
  • Knowledge of graph analytics solutions, such as Hume.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Neo4J OR graph analytics is desirable
