Our Federal Government Client seeking an OpenStack Engineer with responsibilities that involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and services based on the OpenStack cloud computing platform.

This is a contract role that will run for 12 months with 2x12 months extension options based in Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne.


As the selected candidate, you will:
* Building and implementing Private cloud infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, and networking components.
* Troubleshooting and resolving issues with Private Cloud infrastructure and services.
* Automating infrastructure deployment and management using tools such as Ansible and Satellite.
* Developing and maintaining custom scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks.
* Performing capacity planning and performance tuning for private cloud-based infrastructure.
* Collaborating with other teams, OpenShift, Data Centre Facilities Management, application and monitoring teams.
* Providing technical guidance and support to others.

Mandatory Criteria
* Experience with Linux administration.
* Experience with OpenStack.
Weighted Criteria
* Experience with Red Hat Ansible.
* Experience with Red Hat Satellite.
* Experience with Python programming language
* Proficient with Software defined networking.
* Experience with Object Storage.
* Experience with Ceph Block Storage.


Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens who has an existing AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
