Our Client is seeking an Information Assurance & Integration Specialist.
This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration of 12 months, with potential for extension, located at our client's Canberra office. Working arrangements will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
As the selected candidate, you will:
* Provide independent security engineering advice and support to DMO, including MILOPS advice on ICT vulnerabilities, recommending and implementing remediation activities, providing support and guidance for DSOC, and offering advice and clarity on DSOC alerts.
* Offer portfolio security support for DMO systems, ensuring alignment with Defence governance, compliance, and risk management requirements.
* Represent MILOPS as a security stakeholder for new and existing systems/capabilities/projects, acting as the interface between DMO and external entities as directed.
* Conduct independent verification/validation (IV&V) services, including IV&V services for new capabilities being introduced into the operational space.
* Provide guidance to DMO projects as required, including PM and engineering capability development work. Potential TTY / Secondment to SRB/DRAS project office.
To be successful in this role you should have:
* Demonstrated experience in providing security engineering advice and support.
* Strong understanding of Defence governance, compliance, and risk management requirements.
* Ability to represent security stakeholders effectively and facilitate communication between various entities.
* Experience in conducting independent verification/validation (IV&V) services.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to provide guidance to projects and engineering teams.
It is desirable if you have:
* Previous experience working with DMO or similar government agencies.
* Security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with NV2 security clearance.
