Application Support Analyst - ERP

Our utilities-based client is looking for an Application Support Analyst to assist in configuring our ERP system within the e-process domain to meet business needs, including data updates, enhancement requests, and security changes. This position also advises and assists business users to optimize system use and resolve technical and business issues.
Responsibilities:
- Incident and Problem Resolution: Analyse and resolve functional incidents and problems, including root cause analysis and solution design, in line with defined service levels. Provide timely communication to all stakeholders.
- System Understanding: Develop a detailed understanding of the Finance systems and how they support business processes and outcomes.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain system documentation to a high standard to ensure business process governance.
- System Configuration: Configure enterprise IT systems to evolve business processes and objectives. Assist with testing to ensure configurations meet business requirements.
- User Support: Provide cost-effective responses to user requests for advice, support, and resolution of technical and business process issues.
- Governance and Security: Apply governance processes and maintain enterprise system security per business needs. Maintain the integrity of enterprise systems and minimize changes in line with business priorities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support the effective application of enterprise systems by making connections with business and ICT stakeholders. Respond effectively to competing demands from users by maintaining focus on strategic objectives and IT architectures.
- Standardization: Contribute to the standardization of the use of enterprise systems by providing advice to users, simplifying configuration, minimizing customizations, and identifying training needs.
Skills:
- Experience working in a similar role or Finance information technology.
- Experience in enterprise systems, including configuration, security, integration, customization, and reporting.
- Skilled in analysing and resolving functional issues with root cause analysis and solution design.
- Ability to evaluate business requirements for system enhancements and recommend effective solutions.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with system stakeholders.
