Primary purpose of the role:
The Solution Adoption Lead for the SAP S/4HANA & SuccessFactors implementation is responsible for leading and managing change management activities associated with the implementation of SAP's next-generation ERP solution. The role involves refining and evolving the approved change management strategy and executing it to ensure successful adoption and utilisation of the new solution by employees across the organisation. The Solution Adoption Lead will work closely with the ERP Program’s Project Managers (Finance, HR, Enterprise Assets Management, Source to Pay, and Enterprise Portfolio Management), Business Readiness Leads and Change Managers, stakeholders, and business leaders to drive change and minimise resistance throughout the implementation across multiple horizons.

Key responsibilities:
  • Refine and implement a comprehensive change management strategy to support the successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA within the organisation.
  • Create and execute change management plans, including communication, training via the Solution Integrator (SI), and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Define and measure key success factors and metrics in collaboration with Business Readiness Leads to track the effectiveness of change management efforts.
  • Ensure all Solution Adoption and Business Readiness key deliverables and milestones are contained in the ERP Program’s integrated Master Schedule.
  • Active management of and reporting on the progress and status of all Solution Adoption and Business Readiness key deliverables and milestones.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and resistance to change and develop mitigation and communication plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Business Readiness Change Managers, program teams and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of change management activities with the overall project plan.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams involved in the implementation process.
  • Develop and deliver effective communication materials, including presentations, newsletters, and other tools, to keep employees informed and engaged throughout the implementation process.
  • Understand outcomes of impact assessments identified by business readiness change managers to identify changes to roles, processes, and workflows resulting from the introduction of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Design and manage the training deliverables by collaborating with the SI and deliver training programs via the business readiness leads to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use SAP S/4HANA.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress, provide regular updates to project sponsors and stakeholders, and recommend adjustments to change management strategies as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by promoting best practices and encouraging feedback from end-users.

Required skills and competencies:
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to matrix manage deliverable outcomes through multiple business readiness streams and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4 HANA and SuccessFactors and its impact on business processes, organisational structure, and technology infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks, challenges, and opportunities related to change management.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a formal change management certification e.g. Prosci, Change Management Institute (CMI) certifications, Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP)
