The Company:
We are collaborating with our client, who is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team as an individual contributor on a 12 months fixed term role.
For this role, you will need strong experience in the following:
The Senior Data Engineer will oversee Technology's data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing and managing scripts for data integration and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience including 2+ years designing and building Databricks data pipelines is; Azure cloud is highly preferred,
- Experience with conceptual, logical and/or physical database designs is required.
- 4+ years of hands-on data transformation projects, database structures, Datawarehouse e.g. snowflake is required.
- 2+ years of hands-on Python/Pyspark /SparkSQL and/or Scala experience is required .
- 4+ years of experience with Data pipelines or DAG Tools (Data Factory, Matillion) is required 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing Data solutions in a cloud ecosystem, including Data/Delta Lakes house, Data warehousing, is required
- Experience with source control (git) on the command line.
- 5+ years of SQL experience, specifically to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data is highly desirable.
- Data modeling / data profiling capabilities with Kimball/star schema methodology is Required
