About the Role:
You will contribute to developing and maturing the company quality engineering and testing policies, governance, assurance practices, and continuous improvement framework that set the direction, context and objectives for testing and quality engineering at the company.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, validate opportunities to enhance testing and quality processes, ensuring these improvements are prioritized and gain stakeholder approval for seamless integration into the organization.
- Provide expert consultation and hands-on coaching to embedded test teams across the company's lines of business.
- Strengthen and grow partnerships with external testing providers, ensuring these collaborations align with the company's vision, standards, and policies.
- Play an active, contributing role in the Quality Engineering & Testing Community of Practice (CoP), fostering knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement across the organization.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven results in programming and applications design
- Strong experience in Python programming
- Experience in Scheduling tools such as Airflow
- Strong experience in Core Java and Java related libraries (Spring-boot, JMS and JPA etc)
- good knowledge of function and reactive programming
- Proven experience in microservice and API development using even driven architecture
- Integration technologies covering streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, TIBCO ESB or similar
- Experience in delivering major programs of work in a complex, agile environment.
- A strong understanding of cloud engineering principles underpinned by design and development experience with one or more cloud environments such GCP, AWS and VMware.
- Knowledge of containerisation concepts and implementation considerations.
- Experience with complex data structures and semi structured data (JSON, XML).
