Join a global team with operations spanning Australia, Switzerland, and Canada, delivering essential support to internal business users. As part of the team, you'll troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges and collaborate closely with a DevOps team based in Switzerland. Your role will be critical in driving key infrastructure initiatives to ensure stability, security, and performance across the business. This role requires 4 days a week on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a strategic on-premise cloud application environment.
  • Build, configure, and oversee critical Kafka infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage enterprise-level monitoring and logging solutions (Elasticsearch).
  • Drive infrastructure enhancements to promote security, performance, and modularity.
  • Automate complex business and technical processes to improve efficiency.
  • Advocate for new technologies and standards within the organisation.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient in managing Kafka and/or Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong experience with both Windows and Linux OS, including system performance analysis and optimization.
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise automation platforms (e.g. Automic, Control-M).
  • Knowledge of tools such as GitLab, ArgoCD, SonarQube, and Artifactory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of DevOps experience.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
  • Proactive and motivated, with a knack for solving problems efficiently.
  • Able to work flexibly and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Passionate about cloud technologies and constantly bringing innovative solutions to the table.
