Our Federal Government Client seeking an ICT Data Platform Administrator and will be responsible in performing technical assessment, design, configuration and deployment of new capabilities in the data platform space. The successful candidate(s) for this role will provide platform support to Data Analysts (DA), Data Engineers (DE) and Data Scientists (DS).

This is a contract role that will run for 12 months with possible extension options based in Canberra. Working remotely from an alternate location (including work from home) or flexible work arrangements may be considered.


As the selected candidate, you will:
* Perform technical assessment, design, configuration and deployment of new capabilities in the data platform space
* Solve complex problems under minimal supervision
* Develop and support their own and other team members' technical capabilities
* Contribute to the team wiki for recording system configurations, change procedures, release procedures, incident management and how-to guides
* Transfer knowledge to other data platforms administrators
* Support the platforms and software used by DA/DE/DS/WASP including troubleshooting, updates and upgrades. Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following technologies is desirable:
* RHEL 7 & RHEL 8
* Ansible
* Azure Dev/Ops
* Neo4j
* Kafka
* NiFi
* SAS
* Impala/Kudu
* Elasticsearch
* PostgreSQL
* Java
* Kubernetes
* Python
* Server hosts & GPU Cluster installations, configuration, cable and power management


Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens who has an ability to obtain an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
