Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Technical ICT Implementation Manager

This is a long-term contract role up to 30 June 2025 with an extension term of 1 period of 6 months plus up to 3 additional 1-month extensions, subject to funds availability and delegate approval. The role is located at our client's Canberra office, with potential travel to Sydney, and flexible work-from-home arrangements may be negotiated after the first six months of the contract period.

As the selected candidate, you will:

* Transition client's IT infrastructure, Applications, and Services by informing and assisting in the configuration, transition, and maintenance of core technologies, applications, and services used bythe client.

* Support and manage external IT providers, ensuring effective collaboration with Managed Service Providers, penetration testing partners, IT consultants, and auditors.

* Support and understand project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

* Coordinate and manage projects by working with IT vendors on implementing changes and building projects for the business.

* Monitor potential risks and opportunities for improvement within IT operations and cybersecurity and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to mitigate these risks.

* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution and support of projects.

* Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; report and escalate to management as needed.

To be successful in this role you should have:

* ICT industry professional qualifications or certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM/Agile, ITSM) and relevant tertiary qualifications.

* 5+ years of Business Applications management experience working in a client-focused environment for mid-market to Enterprise level customers.

* Working understanding and experience across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery methodologies.

* Experience delivering projects across Microsoft 365, ITSM Service Desk Tool, and supporting infrastructure and configuration.

* Commercial experience with the ability to interpret and appropriately apply commercial and contract obligations.

* Proven ability to manage concurrent projects and tasks, with excellent time management skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize to meet conflicting demands.

* Proven ability to manage uncertainty and risk.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply attention to detail and the judgment and experience to know when to apply it.

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and communication skills, with an ability to present and communicate clearly, confidently, and concisely.

* Proven relationship management, negotiating, and influencing skills.

* A high level of proficiency or expertise in the use of Microsoft Project, Collaboration Tools such as Teams, MS 365/Office applications, and Information Security Manual (ISM) principles.

It is desirable if you have:

* Experience in establishment/Machinery of Government Changes (Highly Desirable).

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a Baseline Security Level Clearance in process.
