The Company:
We are collaborating with our corporate client who is looking to hire an experienced Database Administrator to join on a long tenure contract.
About the role:
There are multiple openings for Database Administrator within three different areas:
- DB2 Database Management
- Microsoft SQL Server Management
- Senior Database Administrator (Oracle)
For this role, you will need strong experience in the following:
- Manage and optimize the performance, security, and reliability of the organization's DB2 database systems, including design, configuration, tuning, backup, recovery, and capacity planning.
- Implement database security policies, access controls, and auditing mechanisms to safeguard data integrity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Configure high availability and disaster recovery solutions, perform upgrades and patching activities, and troubleshoot database-related incidents to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Design, deploy, and maintain Oracle database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Monitor and optimize database performance metrics, implement security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data, and develop comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Must have:
- Clearance: Baseline, NV1
- Location: Melbourne
- Must be able to work from the office 3 days each week
