Responsibilities

Requirement for an experienced Senior Desktop Engineer


The Services, include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Building, installing, configuring, testing and maintaining desktop SOE;
  • Deploying DOE to desktop devices using automation to further standardise infrastructure and environments;
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and conducting regular maintenance and updates on SOE software to ensure optimal performance;
  • Manage the review, testing and selection of desktop devices and software.
  • Provide technical support to end-users on desktop-related matters;
  • Work effectively in a small team environment;
  • Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other team members; and
  • Record and maintain files/information in accordance with requirements.


The Engineer MUST have:

  1. Knowledge and experience in Windows and Linux desktop operating systems, particular Linux, as well as automation tools such as Ansible
  2. Knowledge and experience in configuring and supporting a secure desktop SOE
  3. Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry qualifications
  4. Minimum 5 years in a similar role
  5. High level communication skills, both written and verbal
  6. Must be a team player and be able to work collaboratively
