Job Title: Senior Customer Identity & Access Management Engineer

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Location: Canberra /Hybrid

About the Role

This position is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of a major customer identity and access management (CIAM) project within an Azure and AWS Cloud environment. Working closely with stakeholders, the Senior Customer IAM Engineer ensures that the CIAM solution aligns with security standards, compliance regulations, and the core purpose of the client, displaying a positive attitude towards people.

Duties

  • Help lead the implementation, and optimization of a major customer identity and access management (CIAM) project, focusing on external and customer user registration, authentication, authorization, and user profile management.
  • Work independently on competing and often urgent tasks to achieve agency CIAM outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into effective CIAM configurations.
  • Configure and manage CIAM features, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and security best practices.
  • Optimize the CIAM solution for scalability, performance, and user experience, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Prioritize building automations and integrations to enhance CIAM capabilities and streamline user interactions.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong experience and expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing customer identity and access management solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with CIAM products such as Auth0, Okta, ForgeRock, Ping, Akamai, or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing or implementing in a Cloud environment such as Azure or AWS.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Demonstrated positive attitude towards people with disability, aligning with the core purpose of the client.
  • Proven ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and ability to obtain baseline security clearance.
