The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Wireless Specialist for an initial 12 months contract based in Peel region, WA
Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical lead for wireless access technologies and manage wireless vendors.
- Support large-scale wireless projects and coordinate with users and vendors.
- Handle escalations for wireless network issues and ensure device maintenance.
- Oversee wireless equipment lifecycle management and integration of third-party solutions.
- Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting, and engage third-party vendor support.
- Assist with 4G cellular reviews and mining data applications.
- Collaborate with Cisco Network Engineers on basic networking tasks as needed.
- Travel to mine and refinery locations near Pinjarra for site visits.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with expertise in LTE, VHF/UHF, and Cisco wireless networks.
- Essential: Experience in mining operations.
- Desirable: Cisco CCNA certification.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Current Driver’s License required.
