We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Software Business Analyst to join this innovative and creative team. To work closely with their Cloud and Software Engineering teams to deliver winning solutions that make life work better for their clients and in support of strategic objectives.

This role is integral to our client's operations, ensuring that all employees receive accurate and timely remuneration. We are looking for a candidate who not only possesses the technical know-how but also thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to upholding the highest standards of payroll management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit and analyse requirements from stakeholders and the delivery team and document to create a clear, shared understanding and vision for everyone to work with.
  • Research and better understand business-related problems that help inform development.
  • Document functional requirements as user stories, ensuring all stories are fit for purpose and deliver tangible value.
  • Elicit and document customer journeys, screen mock-ups and other system design artefacts as required.
  • Understand solution approach and non-functional requirements and communicate technical requirements and constraints effectively to the Product Owner and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate ceremonies and manage iterations, ensuring efficient throughput of stories for the team.
  • Apply critical thinking and challenge the business with new ways of working and solving problems.
  • Manage different stakeholder needs, goals and knowledge of the business.
  • Work closely with developers, user experience designers, other business analysts and product owners to achieve team goals.

Experience and Capabilities

  • Significant experience in Payroll/HCM solutions is preferred
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy working collaboratively as well as independently.
  • You have a track record as a Business Analyst delivering impactful software as part of a software delivery team.
  • You have attention to detail and a practical approach to the day-to-day work of story-writing and delivery.
  • You have experience modelling business and data processes using a variety of tools and techniques to facilitate requirement capture and communication.
  • You are well-versed with tech trends and can relate them to real-world business opportunities.
  • You operate as a team player without ego to deliver outcomes, obtaining buy-in from stakeholders and resolving conflicts as they arise.
