Our Public Utilities Client is looking for a Senior ICT Business Analyst to support staff transition to new ways of working, focusing on systems and processes relating to the Client's ICT environment which includes OT, Cloud and on premise-based platforms.

The successful candidate must possess the following experience:

  • Highly experienced in ICT digital transformation program.
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrable experience in ICT service management (ITSM).
  • Demonstrable experience in infrastructure and application transformation projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in providing system support services to resolve user problems including training.
  • Possess a strong business acumen and customer-centric approach to delivery, i.e. a desire to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and incidents.
  • Strong analytical skills, logical and structured in approach to delivery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Digital Delivery providing key critical input from the client and business SMEs
  • Ensure that customer business objectives and scope are well defined and understood by you, the project team and your clients
  • Support the production of risk mitigation plans for any significant potential risks
  • Support stakeholders in adopting to changes and performance with network systems
  • Identify, investigate, document and analyse business processes, procedures and work practices
  • Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommends optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour.
  • Create user and trainer documentation and conducts formal training classes. Develop functional specifications for use by system developers.
  • Leverage data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software.
  • Act as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the system project decision making process.
  • Assist in the improvement of the Client's project processes, documentation, and templates.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive demonstrated experience as a Senior ICT Business Analyst with strong experience in ICT infrastructure, network services, end user compute, cloud, data warehouse and application transformation projects
  • Ability to undertake business analysis activities to drive the elicitation of high-quality business, functional and non-functional requirements from key stakeholders through workshops.
  • Experience in producing high quality project related deliverables simultaneously and with minimal supervision
  • Experience in business re-engineering and process design using BPMN Experience in ICT service management (ITSM)
  • Experience in engaging, influencing, negotiating, and collaborating with a range of business stakeholders to develop ongoing working relationships including technical and operational environments to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience in complex, dynamic, fast paced environments where new problems and issues frequently arise which require new methods to be created.
  • Experience in risks and quality management in an ICT project context.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with quality assurance.
  • Experience working in both traditional and Agile methodologies.

The proposed initial contract for this role is from ASAP to 30 August 2025 with possible extension. Candidates must be located in Canberra. Flexible working arrangements with the combination of working from home and in the Client's Mitchell Office can be considered.
