As a Technical Consultant - Configuration Management, you will be integral to the success of this partnership. You will manage and optimize CMDB Discovery processes, administer both Windows and Linux environments, and ensure the effectiveness of their configuration management systems. Your expertise in network infrastructure and enterprise tools will be crucial in meeting the needs of their Federal client.

This role requires a minimum baseline security clearance, NV2 highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and enhance CMDB Discovery processes to ensure effective configuration management.
  • Administer and optimize both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing network infrastructure, including VLANs, SNMP, firewalls, and standard ports.
  • Design and execute service mappings within CMDBs to improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and manage custom dashboards and reports to support strategic and operational goals.
  • Utilise SQL scripting for advanced data manipulation and reporting.
  • Work closely with IT teams and the Federal client to ensure tools and infrastructure meet their requirements.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing enterprise tools in a similar role
  • Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols, including VLANs, SNMP, firewalls, and standard ports.
  • Experience with implementing tools in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with Data Centre environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • Ability to create custom dashboards and reports.
  • ITIL certification.
