Our Federal Government Client is looking for a PSIM Technical Lead.

Our Client is seeking to engage a Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) Technical Lead to support the enhancement and development of their PSIM software.

The role is responsible for:

  • Working with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and subsequent user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Completing application design, code development, unit and integration testing to applicable development standards.
  • Designing and establishing development and testing environments for the PSIM system.
  • Writing well designed, maintainable and testable code.
  • Developing and maintaining user guides, administrator manual specification, release notes, build and stand operating procedures for the PSIM system.
  • Continuous improvement of the PSIM system, enduring that it performs optimally and meets the Client security requirements.

Essential criteria
1. Stakeholder Collaboration and Agile Methodology:
  • Demonstrated experience working with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
2. Application Design:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in comprehensive application and integration design, including the creation and evaluation of design diagrams.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in code development, unit testing, and automation, ensuring adherence to development standards.
3. Technical Ability:
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing enterprise-grade C# applications with near real-time integrations across multiple sub-systems built on the .NET framework. Including demonstrated proficiency in WCF, Entity Framework, and developing complex SQL queries.
4. Environment Setup and Code Quality:
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and establishing development and testing environments for complex systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in code development that is well designed, maintainable and testable.
5. Documentation and System Optimisation:
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining user guides, administrator manuals, release notes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience for continuous improvement of systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with security requirements.
6. ITIL and Operations Management:
  • Demonstrated experience with ITIL-related incident management, change management, and operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and deliver results in highly sensitive environments with changing priorities.
Desirable criteria
1. Electronic Security Capability:
  • Demonstrated experience working with electronic security and PSIM systems.
2. Azure Cloud Capability:
  • Experience in designing, deploying, and managing applications on the Azure cloud platform, including proficiency with Azure services such as Entra ID, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database, and ability to implement cloud-native solutions, ensuring scalability and adherence to security and compliance standards.

This role is on an initial 12-month contract with two (2) possible 12-month contract extension options. The location of work is in Canberra, and the Client expects candidates to be capable of working full time on site (no hybrid nor remote) to qualify for this role.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with active AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
