Our client, an Adelaide-based software company with a global reach, is looking for a a passionate UX/UI Designer to join their growing team. Specialising in innovative AI-powered software solutions, they have a strong local and US market presence and are now expanding into the UK and European markets.


About the role

In this role, you will craft engaging user experiences, working closely with product visionaries and internal clients to align designs with our organizational mission. You'll be responsible for creating intuitive and impactful interfaces that enhance decision-making and drive positive change.

  • Design beautiful and user-friendly interfaces that solve real-world problems.
  • Apply design thinking from user understanding to high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to visualize processes and outcomes.
  • Conduct user research, create user personas, and design user flows.
  • Define information architecture and ensure effective content organization.
  • Communicate design concepts to stakeholders and manage project timelines.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design systems using tools like Figma.
  • Participate in design reviews, gather user feedback, and continuously improve designs.


What You Will Do:

  • UX & UI Design: Create aesthetically pleasing and efficient designs, ensuring consistency with branding and user needs.
  • User Research: Collaborate with teams to gather user requirements and insights through various research methods.
  • User Personas & Journeys: Develop and update user personas, design user flows, and align with customer journeys.
  • Information Architecture: Organize content effectively within applications based on user feedback.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present and document design concepts, ensuring effective communication and scope management.
  • Technical Collaboration: Conduct reviews, manage Jira tickets, and balance user needs with technical constraints.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Use Figma to create detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Design Reviews: Participate in critiques, incorporate feedback, and prepare design documentation.
  • User Testing: Support usability testing and implement improvements based on user feedback.
  • Design Systems: Maintain and enhance design systems for consistency across products.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile applications.
  • Proficient in Figma, including advanced features and collaborative workflows.
  • Experience with user-centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and design systems.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence) and Agile software development is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
