About the Role:
Seeking a highly skilled Data Specialist responsible for the design, implementation, and management of data systems and solutions for a global mining company in Brisbane. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of data platforms, data models, and analytics solutions that enable effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Design: Design data models, data architectures, and ETL processes.
- Data Delivery: Develop and manage efficient data pipelines and workflows.
- Data Integration: Integrate various data sources into cohesive data systems.
- Data Quality & Governance: Implement practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work with data analysts, data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
Experience:
- Several years experience in data design, data engineering, or data delivery roles.
- Experience with end-to-end data pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Strong experience /knowledge of data modeling, data architecture, and database management systems.
- Proven experience with data governance, data quality management, and compliance
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with data warehousing (BW4HANA) and BI tools such as Power BI.
- Database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL solutions.
