Our Government Client is seeking an EL1 Information and Data Manager.
This is a permanent engagement located at our client’s office in Canberra.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Lead and manage a small team to deliver information management services
• Contribute to the development of information management services in alignment with their ICT Transformation Strategy Roadmap
• Lead the implementation of the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) to transition from physical to digital records
• Develop, maintain, and review information and data management policies and procedures
• Oversee the management of the information management technology ecosystem, including data security controls and appropriate access management
• Ensure Content Manager is up to date with compliance obligations, business classification schemes, and records authorities
• Manage end-to-end digital and paper file requests, establishing new processes such as ‘scan on demand’
• Oversee the mail function, including screening, collection, self-service support, and couriers
• Manage procurements, vendors, and service contracts for information management and mail services
• Lead projects and services in line with the budget and strategic priorities
• Provide high-level advice to internal and external stakeholders on information management
• Support governance committees, working groups, and other administrative duties as required
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Proven experience in information management, project management, and change management
• Strong experience in leading the implementation of Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS)
• Ability to develop and maintain information management policies and procedures
• Experience managing and securing information management technology ecosystems
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams to deliver outcomes
• Extensive experience in managing large volumes of both physical and digital records
• Demonstrated ability to manage procurement, vendor relationships, and service contracts
• Experience in providing high-level advice to diverse stakeholders
It is desirable if you have:
• Familiarity with MS Teams and Content Manager systems
• Knowledge of compliance obligations and business classification schemes within a government context
• Experience working with historical and culturally significant records in a gallery or similar institution
• Experience in risk management planning and the development of information security policies
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
