Job Title: Program Support Officer
Location: Canberra, flexible work arrangements may be arranged between the Labour Hire worker and their immediate supervisor
Engagement Type: Full-Time Contract or Full-Time Salaried Consultant
Duration if Contract: to 30 June 2025 + possible 24 month extension
Clearance Requirement: Baseline clearance required (client will consider candidates undergoing Baseline clearance)
Note: This role works 40 hours per week
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Director (Procurement Manager), the Procurement and Contract Officer will lead and manage end-to-end strategic procurement processes to deliver value for money outcomes for the Australian Government in the context of COP31.
Duties:
- Interpret, apply and provide timely and accurate advice in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework
- Provide timely and accurate advice across the procurement lifecycle including but not limited to, supporting procurement planning, approaching the market, reviewing and assisting with the development of contract and related documentation including contract variations and contract management
- Promote compliance with procurement policies and legislation, for example the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Indigenous Procurement Policy, and the Public Governance Performance and Accountability Act
- Assist in the management of client expectations and engage with stakeholders
- Manage and support end-to-end procurement processes for a variety of procurement types, sizes, and methods
- Contract data entry and administration of the procurement processing function.
- Monitor contract data and engage with business areas to support contract management.
- Effectively manage competing priorities.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of training and guidance material
- Provide system assistance to clients
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
