PSL6 – Program Support Officer
The Program Support Officer is responsible for providing support to the Program Manager and guidance to a range of internal and external stakeholders on portfolio and project management processes, tools and techniques to support the outcomes of Client programs. The role works as part of a small team under limited direction of the Program Manager with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability. The PSL6 uses both initiative and judgement in the application of practices and procedures and exercises sound decision-making, and may assist in strategic planning, program and project management, and benefits management. The PSL6 role may assist the Program Manager to coordinate and/or undertake detailed or sensitive projects with a range of stakeholders.
Job Summary:
- Assist with the annual review of the project Assurance Plan, which underpins the assurance activities will be reviewed at least every 12 months to ensure the plan is fit for purpose.
- Assist with planning, management and execution of assurance activities and reviews and provide reports to ensure clarity for target audience, to identify performance issues, risks, and provide recommendations and expert advice to inform decision making.
- Ensure the smooth running of the assurance function through the administering of meetings including minute taking, document management etc.
- Foster and sustain constructive engagement with stakeholders to appropriately assist in managing, monitoring, and reporting on projects/programs, as well as in promptly identifying and addressing risks and issues.
- Assist with the identification, planning, measuring, and tracking of benefits from the start of the program or project investment until realisation of the last projected benefit.
- Assist to identify opportunities for business improvements and greater effectiveness in scheduling, tracking, budgeting, and resourcing of projects.
- Provide support to various portfolio office operations, adapting to the dynamic needs of the team.
