Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the project is transitioned seamlessly, and objectives and API consumption timelines are met.
- Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that all deliverables meet the established requirements.
- Review and draft project documents, including governance reporting to ensure that all project activities are adequately documented.
- Coordinate and, where required, lead project communication with external stakeholders and facilitate a seamless implementation of the communication plan.
- Assist with project administration, documentation, records management, communication, reporting and be responsible for Secretariat functions in the team. The Project Support Officers will work across the team operations and a range of projects.
- Draft and maintain other project documentation as required and develop and implement improved project information management systems.
- Provide full secretariat support (such as organising and servicing meetings to produce agendas, meeting pack, taking minutes, monitoring and updating relevant registers).
Requirements:
- A minimum 5 years' experience as a project support officer supporting complex IT projects that involve business operations transformation, with experience in the public sector.
- Demonstratable experience working in a collaborative way to plan, facilitate and execute project support and coordination activities including developing a diverse suite of project documentation, implementing improved project information management systems and comprehensive secretariat support services across multiple projects.
- Ability to quickly learn new content, including technical information to develop a suite of project documentation (such as project status reports, stakeholder and communication products, governance documents including registers, risk plans, etc.).
- Highly developed skills in planning, time management, prioritisation, and attention to detail
- The ability to quickly develop and maintain strong relationships within the team and with internal and external stakeholders
- High developed project management skills with experience working across different project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall and agile)
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate and influence with management and staff at all levels
- Experience in coordinating project change management activities
- Relevant and recent skills and experience working in the public service and in both waterfall and agile project management methodology.

The role is on a contract to 30 Jun 2025 and must be performed from the Client’s Canberra office with combination of on-site and remote work arrangements.
