About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join dynamic team of cloud , infrastructure and security professionals within state government.
This role will be crucial in identifying and selecting appropriate cloud services, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring alignment with current ICT architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and migrate systems for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
- Develop and implement Solution Architectures using Private, AWS, and Azure public cloud services, ensuring detailed technical documentation.
- Ensure Solution Architectures comply with ISO27001 cyber security controls and ASD Essential 8 controls.
- Work within Government frameworks (IS18, QGISCF, QGAF, etc.).
- Embrace modern technology approaches, including automation via Infrastructure as Code.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
- Broad infrastructure experience across VMware, Windows, Linux, and networking.
- Strong experience in configuring and securing Azure cloud services; AWS experience is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Terraform.
- Experience with automation tools such as Azure DevOps and Ansible is highly regarded.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (highly regarded)
