Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
This is a long-term contract role for an initial duration of 12 months, with a 12-month extension term (one extension), located at our client’s premises in Canberra, ACT. The working arrangement is onsite.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Provide advice and guidance on the planning, design, and improvement of service and component availability.
- Investigate breaches of availability targets and service non-availability, initiating remedial activities.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and manage their testing.
- Monitor service component capacity, initiating actions to resolve any shortfalls.
- Apply techniques to control demand on resources or services.
- Contribute to capacity modeling and planning.
- Provide technical expertise for operational procedures, planning, and implementation of infrastructure maintenance and updates.
- Implement agreed infrastructure changes and maintenance routines.
- Use infrastructure management tools to determine load and performance statistics.
- Configure tools and create scripts to automate provisioning, testing, and deployment of new and changed infrastructure.
- Maintain operational procedures, ensuring adherence to agreed standards.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, providing reports and proposals for improvement.
- Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes, and services.
- Determine problem fixes and remedies, collaborating with others to implement agreed solutions.
- Support analysis of patterns and trends to improve problem management processes.
- Design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor moderately complex programs/scripts.
- Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered results.
- Monitor and report on progress, identifying issues related to software development activities.

- Experience in systems design
- Proficiency in systems installation and removal
- Experience with Angular and Nginx.
- Familiarity with Angular 18 on Node.js version 20.
- Skills in Ansible and Python scripting.
