About the Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking multiple Systems Analysts / Technical Analysts.
This is a long-term 12-month contract role with extension options available if required, located at our client’s Canberra office in a hybrid arrangement.
As the selected candidate, you will be:
- Liaising with a range of business stakeholders (with cross purposes) to be:
- Developing detailed data artefacts, including data diagrams, data flows, and data integration specifications.
- Engaging with architects, engineers, developers and business analysts to identify and document data requirements of the solution.
- Supporting discussions, gathering input and documenting data interoperability, linked data and data fabric approaches.
- Maintain structured documentation in the organisation’s platforms of choice.
- Develop business ideas into change requests considering business objectives, the ICT capabilities that will need to be established/enhanced, the implications for staff, customers, partners, policies, and procedures.
- Elaborate change requests into high level ICT requirements (most commonly user stories) that provide sufficient coverage as to the breadth of the business needs and enough information for ICT teams to assess delivery implications for external and internal ICT systems.
- Undertake delivery management and transition work as required.
- Representing business requirements within the project’s team, in keeping with the Business or Product Owner’s needs.
- Facilitating discovery/elaboration workshops with representatives from business and ICT teams, unpack and elaborate high level requirements into detailed business requirements (most commonly user stories).
- Respond to the clarification requests regarding business requirements.
- Undertake business analysis engagements according to the scope of the assigned project utilising effective approaches, and documentation tailored to the applicable project methodology and/or stakeholder.
- Provide business impact assessments for requirement changes and residual delivery defects.
- Representing non-functional business requirements (including data, information management, privacy, and consent).
- Providing business guidance to test case coverage and defect resolution.
- Supporting (and occasionally conducting) user acceptance and end-user testing engagements.
- Analysis of raw data into meaning information as required.
- Review feedback for deliverables, processes, reference documentation and templates.
