Data Scientist
- Initial 12 month + 12-month extension
- Must be Australian citizen
- Experience with predictive analytics
We are seeking a Data Scientist who can work on enhancing real-time data analysis capabilities for a prominent law enforcement agency. This project is pivotal in improving decision-making and problem-solving through advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and establish data pipelines and ETL solutions from multiple disparate source systems.
- Write and maintain Python scripts for data cleaning, analysis and modelling.
- Collaborate with various business areas to identify data-driven solutions to operational problems.
- Work with Senior Data Scientists to develop predictive models and statistical analysis.
- Participate in the design and implementation of experiments to test hypotheses and improve operations.
- Work within a team containing multi-vendor and in-house staff to develop, establish and optimise graph analytics.
Required Skills, Knowledge, or Experience
- A data science or predictive data analytic background in ICT.
- A Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance would be advantageous.
Desirable experience:
- Prior experience in advanced analytics projects
- Familiarity with real-time data analysis
