Founded and led by industry leading structural engineers, seismologists and technical experts, our clients state-of-the-art SaaS and IoT hardware solution provides precision real-time monitoring and structural behaviour data and analytics for asset fleets across electricity, telco, mining, transport infrastructure and defence. This allows a first-ever level of granularity in infrastructure management, maintenance and planning.

Focussed on innovation and continuous improvement, they are looking to hire a skilled Hardware Engineer who will be a critical subject matter expert in the business. Your role will focus on the design, development, and maintenance of advanced electronic equipment used in various sensing applications.

This will include:

  • Audit of current hardware
  • Redesign of PCB boards
  • Change componentry to improve functionality / support new features
  • Develop BoM and cost estimates
  • Prototyping new hardware
  • Improving ancillary equipment (mounting brackets etc)
  • Support compliance and certification activities
  • Field testing & risk management.

The core skills and attributes required:

  • Expertise in hardware design (electronic circuits/PCB layouts)
  • Cross discipline knowledge (firmware & C)
  • Knowledge of IoT devices utilising satellite, Wi-Fi, cellular & LoRa communication technologies.
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to be able to work with scientists, engineers and software teams, as well as suppliers.
  • Want to work in an environment of innovation within a team of close knit and passionate experts.
