This allows a first-ever level of granularity in infrastructure management, maintenance and planning.
Focussed on innovation and continuous improvement, they are looking to hire a skilled Hardware Engineer who will be a critical subject matter expert in the business. Your role will focus on the design, development, and maintenance of advanced electronic equipment used in various sensing applications.
This will include:
- Audit of current hardware
- Redesign of PCB boards
- Change componentry to improve functionality / support new features
- Develop BoM and cost estimates
- Prototyping new hardware
- Improving ancillary equipment (mounting brackets etc)
- Support compliance and certification activities
- Field testing & risk management.
The core skills and attributes required:
- Expertise in hardware design (electronic circuits/PCB layouts)
- Cross discipline knowledge (firmware & C)
- Knowledge of IoT devices utilising satellite, Wi-Fi, cellular & LoRa communication technologies.
- Commercial acumen
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to be able to work with scientists, engineers and software teams, as well as suppliers.
- Want to work in an environment of innovation within a team of close knit and passionate experts.
