About the Role:

The Senior Cloud Engineer serves as the primary point of contact for the Cloud Domain, managing both external and internal responsibilities.

Their role includes contributing to the technology roadmap to prevent problems and improve operational activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for all Cloud and Orchestration-related matters, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Drive technology advancements and recommend opportunities for automation and service improvements, focusing on efficiency and scale.
  • Act as the escalation point for expediting problem resolution across the Cloud and Orchestration domain.
  • Oversee the delivery of essential reports, such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Post Implementation Reviews and maintain high-quality documentation in the Knowledge Database.
  • Lead the review of customer projects, network capacity analysis, and implementation of updates, ensuring effective management and planning.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient with Nagios and ZenOSS for efficient alarm and log management.
  • Skilled in managing Nexenta Storage and Dell Avamar backup systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Experienced with OpenStack SDN technologies, including Open vSwitch and VXLAN, for effective network management.
  • Experienced with Rancher or Ericsson ECCD for streamlined container orchestration and management.
  • Expert in using HELM charts to manage Kubernetes applications and streamline deployment processes.
  • Experienced with Cloud Native Networking (CNI, Calico) and Service Mesh (Istio) for advanced network and service management.
  • Knowledgeable in SS7SOAP, DIAMETER, and VoIP protocols, ensuring robust communication systems.
  • Demonstrated success in managing technical teams through development, coaching, performance feedback, and evaluations.
