About the role

  • The Energy Networks Solution Architect is responsible for offering expertise and thought leadership in planning, managing, designing, and developing solution architectures for the engineering sector.
  • The Solution Architect will assist Digital in ongoing initiatives relevant to the Engineering Division's future vision of an Intelligent Network Grid, emphasizing Energy Storage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist a small team (Business Partner, Project Manager, Business Analyst) in business case development, including problem definition, business requirements, conceptual solution designs, and options analysis.
  • Options Identification and Analysis - Provide expert advice on Solution Architecture and Design for our client, ensuring a focus on business objectives.
  • Implement our client's Enterprise Architecture principles and standards, such as Cloud Architecture direction, Digital Technology Standards, and Design Guidelines.

Skills and experience

  • Proven extensive experience in providing architectural and process direction for end-to-end engagements in large organizations, with a thorough understanding and consideration of ongoing management challenges.
  • Proven extensive experience in architecting, designing, and building enterprise-level data models, data pipelines, data migrations, and data quality management systems.
  • Proven extensive experience in architecting, designing, and building Operational Technology Environments for new and emerging technologies.
  • Proven strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively engage with technical resources, senior executive teams, and external vendors/partners.
  • Proven extensive experience in gathering business and architectural information from stakeholders and documenting it as part of solution designs, showcasing how solutions align with frameworks and standards.
