ICT - Spatial Business Analyst

Local Government Client

Work Arrangements: Hybrid

Purpose

Our client seeks a Business Analyst experienced in supporting Spatial ICT projects for government agencies and commercial organisations across various industries. This role is part of a team delivering a Spatial Strategy through a multi-year program of work, reporting to the Enterprise Spatial Platform Manager.



Key Responsibilities

Strategy Analysis

  • Current state analysis and definition
  • Future state definition
  • Process modelling and analysis (As-is and To-Be)
  • Data modelling and analysis
  • Gap analysis and Issues/Opportunities
  • Definition and prioritisation of business outcomes
  • Identification of milestones, work packages and development of roadmap for change strategy.

Requirements Analysis and Design Definition

  • Define business requirements
  • Create functional requirements specifications/use cases
  • Develop user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Define stakeholder requirements
  • Establish transition requirements

Skills and knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for negotiation, consultation, coordination, and delivering comprehensive business analysis and solution conceptualization in complex organizations.
  • Superior written communication skills with extensive experience in preparing high-quality business analysis artifacts such as business requirements, functional requirements, process maps, business rules, business cases, etc
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills applicable to process analysis, data analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and business systems analysis
  • Experience in evaluating tender and contract documentation, including vendor response assessment.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with technical staff, customers, suppliers, project managers, and stakeholders.
