About the role

You will be part of a global team working alongside value engineering leads, principals and specialists. Your role will be to coach and bring Agile best practices to delivery teams to develop value chain digital twin models, predict future performance, and design and track the effectiveness of value-adding recommendations.

The successful candidate will support the delivery team, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments and shield them from external distractions with pragmatism. This individual is a personal coach for team members and an innovator pursuing continuous improvement, with the aim of maximising team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating and imparting your Agile experience and coaching to our teams that enable them to deliver first class solutions to stakeholders.
  • Managing end-to-end delivery across the various workstreams of the team.
  • Facilitating and guiding teams to apply the correct Agile methodologies and standards to drive successful project delivery outcomes in line with business objectives.
  • Facilitating ceremonies, communication and resolving disagreements that may arise both internally and externally to the teams.
  • Proactively identifying and removing obstacles to team outcomes and collaborating across all areas of the business to achieve this.
  • Managing stakeholders, sprints, scope, dependencies, risks, issues and milestones.
  • Supporting the Product Owner/s with backlog refinement, identification of goals and engagement of key stakeholders.
  • Driving change that increases the productivity of the Scrum Team.
  • Owning and providing feedback on ways to improve the teams routines and influence global routines.
  • Being inquisitive and continuously pushing for the next level of team performance and outcomes.
  • Preparing progress reports detailing team progress, risks, issues and achievements.
  • Developing, shaping and supporting the delivery of team culture to be inclusive and engaging.

About You

  • Experience in delivery focused scrum master role following Lean / Agile practices or leading iterative development teams.
  • Experience in coaching, having difficult conversations and providing feedback to people on each project you have delivered.
  • Proven experience leading people and driving greater capability and growth within the team.
  • High level of flexibility with the ability to adapt to change - Agile ways of working.
  • Self-motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead and scale implementation of digital solutions successfully and rapidly.
  • Experience managing a high volume of work with demonstrated ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple deliverables across stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering projects or studies in engineering, mining, heavy industry, or infrastructure is preferred.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex projects with intricate interdependencies using Scrum and the Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in advanced analytics, software engineering, discrete event simulation (e.g. AnyLogic, Arena, Simio), AI and Machine Learning is favourable, but not required.
  • Prior experience in business, management or engineering consulting will be highly regarded.
  • Degree qualified in project management, engineering, mining, or related disciplines will be highly regarded.
